I just got a new camera (Canon SD800 IS) and an underwater housing for it, and I used it in a dive at the functioning pipeline at Campus Point (at University of California, Santa Barbara), which is one of my favorite dive spots, although probably not well known by many people. I took some video and pix, and put them together in a 9 minute video. As I have no strobe (yet), it's not as colorful as I'd like but I'd like to share it anyway. I hope to do more Underwater Logs and improve my underwater photography.

Wow! Nice video there, I gotta get mine so that I can show off mine especially I had Sealife replaced it 4 to 5 times due to something causes the camera to die. No wonder why nobody lets me handle their cameras on the boat. :shakehead

Wow, bad luck with the Sealife there. I almost got a DC600 but decided against it when I realized I can get a better camera for cheaper.

Well I got was the reefmaster SL320 which was small, negative buoyant, and didn't need a housing because the whole thing was design for underwater. But I'm regretting for buying it now in the first place because it just doesn't take too good pictures. Here are some samples, all were taken without a strobe since I'm sure you know we college student can't afford one at the moment.

Nice video, Frances! It has been awhile, we will have to dive together again soon.
