Ok ladies I need some advice!

I am short with a very large chest, I am very uncomfortable with it in normal clothes let alone a wetsuit. So other woman with large chest how do you deal with this obvious problem?
People stare now, I can't imagine what it would be like in a scuba suit.
Do they make any suits that make the chest area less obvious? This is the whole reason I am paying lots of money for private certification.

Any opinions on how to overcome or hide this area would be appreciated.

Thanks AJ~

I'm not a gal, but...

You might want to consider a custom suit...$500 would probably get you a decent one...

Good luck!

I don't think your going to be able to hide the obvious. Wetsuits are not very forgiving when it comes to hiding anything. The only thing that may be a plus is if you get a jacket BC. That would cover a little but your still going to be out there if you will pardon the pun.

Thanks guys/girls I guess I will just have to live with what I have and deal with the obvious. But thanks for the help. Any more suggestions would be cool.

Need a buddy? :D

edit: sorry, I couldn't resisit. I'd say don't worry about what you look like and have fun. I've seen people in neoprene that looked so bad that I wanted to gouge out my eyes, so don't worry about it.

That is why this is a Woman's only thread!!! I was worried about that but I needed to know what other woman in my situation do.

may be more effective at camoflaging your area of concern than a wetsuit. In either case, for your comfort, a custom suit is in your future.

Hi,
If you're new to scuba, maybe you have not experienced one of the very plus benefits of the sport. Scuba divers, as a whole, are a very accepting group of people. We come in all sizes and shapes. I would suggest that you get a suit that fits you well. Enjoy the sport.....it's a hell of a lot of fun!!!!!

You might want to check out a site....www.bigadventures.com

Good luck and welcome to the sport.

Even know I'm not a women I can sympathize with you I am 5'6 ( vertically challenged) but I have a 46 inch chest, the problem Is for a wet suit that fits my chest the the legs and torso would fit a 6'5 man so what am I suppose to do with all of the left over neoprene? I finally went to http://www.aquaflite.com/welcome.html and got a custom suit it fits great and works very well and really isn't much more expensive than an off the shelf suit...... most of the time now I dive dry.... and that may also be another option for you.... I also had to get a custom one of those too........
In closing I want to say one thing, all things happen for a reason, God has done wonders with each and every one of us....... don't ever be ashamed of what he has given you....... lift your chin up.....smile and let em stare. diving is too fun to miss out because of a few ignorameses......:)
anyway you get my point! good luck, dive safe but most of all have fun!!!!!
