Welcome from another San Jose diver. I have a 4 x 4 but I use it for Skiing and waterskiing and camping, not "real" off roading.
You have the advantage of several good dive shops in the area, and some of the best (although cold) diving in the world just about an hour away.

So we are reversed... I have been diving for over 20 years but I am new to 4x4 driving..just bought my first jeep, a 2005 unlimited and I love it. I am now finding the joy of off roading.
