Most of the pictures show animals from the Mediterranean sea
1) Aries --> the symbol of Aries is vaguely similar to a shell, actually it shows the horns of a ram. Anyway I didn't find anything similar to a ram...
2) Taurus --> means "bull". The nudibranch in the picture is called "vacchetta di mare" (little sea cow) and has horns
3) Gemini - "twins"
4) Cancer - "crab"
5) Leo - sea lion, but that's actually a monk seal, the closest thing to a sea lion in the mediterranean sea (more or less...)
6) Virgo - "virgin"
7) Libra - "scale", I was thinking of weight belts but then I found a nitrox analyzer picture better than nothing
8) Scorpio - a "scorpion" fish
9) Sagittarius - an archer or in this case a spearfisherman
10) Capricorn - actually I don't know myself what a "capricorn" is. Anyway it seems it's supposed to be "an animal with horns like a goat and tail (or fins in this case) like a fish"

12) Pisces --> fish, and that's what you find around the Christ of the abyss
