Not to worry, there will be someone to dive with, if not the DM's will dive with you. I am booked to go over Xmas on my own, never had a problem finding someone to dive with. I suppose there is always a first time but...

As a back up plan - and as I am a photographer that doesn't move around a lot, I plan on being solo certified as well.

I'm planning to be on Nekton on December in Belize. I'll be by myself, no buddy.
If I will not be able to buddy up with someone on board, what's than?
Do they have divemasters on - board? Is it extra money?

Dove with Nekton four times in the last 2 yrs. Never had a problem finding a buddy when needed. The crew loves to be invited on a dive and will oblige at no cost. (gets them out of latrine (head police for you Navy types) duty). I always remember the ones who were outstanding when I tip at the end of the trip. Want to do Belize again but the dive budget probably won't support it again untill next year. Did Caymans in June for the wife's birthday. She doesn't dive 4-5 dives a day as I do, but loves every minute of the ones we dive together, Capt Nelson did several guided dives for any one who chose to join him. Also buddied up with Catherine on a couple of dives. She's a great photographer.-- Great trip!!
