I suggest you give Bobby a call. There are other charters and captains down there, but Bobby and Renate have one of the best operations.

Dunno what your experience is, but remember - this is open atlantic diving from 30 to 70 miles offshore. Waves can be 3' to 5'. Trip out can be three hours or so, one way. Take your bonine or triptone. Have an SMB and a reel. It's not live boat diving, so if you miss the upline you may drift for awhile. Plan your dive, dive your plan.

And have fun. North Carolina diving on a nice day is absolutely world-class; gorgeous wrecks and huge pelagics, not to mention the sand tiger sharks, rays, turtles, and the occasional pod of dolphins! :D

YAY! Come and PLAY with us!

www.ncdivers.com may be a good source. Usually someone from the group is planning to be at the coast on summer weekends.

Kinda like "Field of Dreams" with this group. "If you plan it, they will come........"

Hey Bill! You comin back this summer to dive with us?

We dove Olympus last summer, and I know you aren't into the cattle boat, but I really LOVED the fins on ladders, and thought they ran a professional safe operation.

And on the conditions.....good point to know is it's not uncommon to be blown out, and the currents can be rippin......

I gotta come back....

mmmmmmmm...ncdivers.....you guys have the BEST food! especially the baked goods! :D <happy doc>

(Just don't piss off any of those women from West Virginia, especially while creating disturbances late at night! Kristi or Mrs. Prages will knock you on your butt...)

Yes, I'll try to make it back there next season to catch up with y'all!! :D

Hmmmm, likely shouldn't gloss over that part about if you're down there four days, expect to get offshore maybe 2 out of 4...!

Now THAT is some GREAT news! I just hate it that you had to go back out to where all the tree huggers are..... < are my politics showin?>

Baked stuff eh? You mean those ewy gewy cookies Mark made?

I miss Jeff's roadkill burgers myself. I think Jeff is hiding. Haven't seen him forever.

Actually Paula is the dangerous one.. I am just a demure lil thang......

Yes, but on a good note, even when it's 12-15 footers offshore, you still get to dive... albeit inshore. :( :)
