Hi, I'm looking for a buddy (who is certified in the Diving for Science program) to volunteer dive with me at Aquarena Springs one to two times per week. My work schedule is a bit convoluted... I could dive during varied weekdays or every other weekend. As of right now I'm available Thurs 9/2 or Mon - Wed 9/6 - 9/8. Any helpful advice greatly appreciated! :blinking:

I can't dive this week, but I will be available in the future. I usually like to dive on Fridays or Saturdays, mornings preferred.

Sounds good. Mornings are better for me also. Please let me know when you want to dive next and I'll try to work my schedule around it. :D

First, welcome to the Texas Swamp Divers!

There are three of us that dive every Thursday. We get there by 9am and hit the water around 9:30 for a one tank dive that generally lasts just under a hour. You are more than welcome to join us.

So I take it that once you have taken the course, you can dive there on most days or are any days blocked off? I slated to take the course in the latter part of SEP. If one can dive there during the week, that would be good news for me as I too have a convoluted schedule.

Thanks,

Couv

I think most days...I don't know about days being blocked off.... but after you pass the course you are required to have a dive buddy and approval via email from the Texas State Diving for Science coordinator. I'd be glad to dive with you during the week once your certified... if we can work around both of our crazy schedules.

Fortunately, I don't have a schedule - at least not one that takes priority over diving. Let me know when you want to hit it.

....will do my friend. Thanks.....
You think if we're both diving MK7 honkers they'll throw us out for disturbing the wildlife?

:D
