My wife and I are both Advanced Open Water divers. I have done 45-50 dives in Thailand, Borneo and Greece. My wife has done about 15 dives.

We are looking to take a holiday starting in late may or June and I would like to combine diving and relaxing. I dove with a liveaboard in Khao Lak in Thaliand and loved it. But Thailand diving is very weather dependent and not considered so good in June.

We live in Europe and are looking for suggestions for good diving locations, not too far away (eg Australia), and not too Expensive. A 10-12 day trip would be excellent and it would consist of: flying days, 3-5 day liveaboard and then a few days sight seeing.

what options for locations are good in the June timeframe that are not going to kill the bank account? :D

PS. We are still rather young and do NOT require luxury hotels and all that.

Mostly because of the ease of access... you lucky devils!

While you are there, a few steps beyond the Red Sea, certainly, but within striking distance is South Africa and Maldives.
