The area where I got my best pics was at a spring area called 3 sisters springs or something like that. We got a tour from plantation inn and used one of there boats. They were real good there and can give you a map of the area and the best areas to go. If you were leaving from plantation inn, the area I am talking about is about ohhh 1 mile or so down on the right hand side. The inlet is near a big blue marina. You head down the inlet and under a bridge. Further up there will be a roped off area for the manatees. Behind the roped off area and off to the side is 3 large pylons sticking out of the water. swim up that little "canal" and it will open up into a large spring area. The water is a nice blue color and it wasnt crowded at all. It was 10x better than the first area with about 100 snorkelers(that area is called Kings Bay).Lots of manatees but vis is bad.
