We are looking for a Caribbean spot to go in Nov., not specifically dive each day. Looking at Aruba but the posts aren't encouraging. We've been to many places and want a new spot to visit for 5 days or so. Been to Bonaire, Cayman, USVI, Roatan, all of Mexico. Any good options?

Since I also live in GA, one of my considerations is always "where can I get a direct flight on Delta". Also, alot depends on your budget and what you like to do when you're not diving (e.g., do you want a lot of night life, casinos, restaurants or do you prefer a quiet, more isolated place)... that kind of info would make the advice more meaningful...

But based simply on what you said, I would recommend Turks and Caicos. One of the few places in the Caribbean that has world class diving AND world class beaches. It's a little pricey though... but to me, it was well worth it. In fact, I can't wait for my next trip.

I would recommend Barbados since you want to do above water as well. Let me know if you have any interest. I have been there a number of times and can make some recommendations.

Thanks to those who replied. I've looked at T&C, and it seems to be the bese so far. Chester, thanks, I'll take any suggestions for dive ops, lodging and opinions--never been there.

Been to TCI many many times. Its a great location for rental villas. If you are seeking a family oriented resort the Sands is great. What is your budget? Air/hotel packages are probably the cheapest way to go. Be aware that TCI is quite expensive with respect to food and accommodations. Caicos Adventures runs the best dive op pn Provo IMHO.

Thanks, guys, again for the help. We had a problem with the hotel we choose in our package (Sands), and the trip became too expensive. We're going to St Lucia now 11-8 to 11-15. Better fit for our budget. I'm looking for some good dive ops, heard fair helen?? is one.
