Dont Know if this is the right place to put this, if it isnt and admin can move it to the proper place or something.... :/

So i did have an instructor for this class though see has informed me that she doesn't feel comfortable doing the class anymore do to her not being as active as she used to be. Perfectly acceptable to me.

So this is whats happening, me and 2 other friends are very eager to get Adv. Nitrox and Deco done around the start or middle of January. We are all pretty much on the same page in terms of certifications Open Water and AOW up to Rescue and then Intro to tech and Cavern all in full tech gear. From what i was looking at in some of the syllabuses for this class with my other instructor we have pretty much all the equipment for the class (at least for my last instructor).

We are currently looking for some one to tech the class in the South Florida area (Keys to Pompano) area that is experienced in deep diving (Trimix) Open circuit in the Ocean, and if they have a Cave or GUE back ground its a plus as well. Our last instructor did things kinda really Hogarthian, though doesn't have to strict about it we would like to keep the same diving style.

We know this is a very important class to get down right so we really want a good instructor.

Anyone local here teach the class around the area or know someone that does??

I think Leslie might fit your description
Home Of The Runawaylobster

Is there a particular reason you don't knock out trimix while you're at it? Advanced Nitrox and Deco is fairly useless in open water without a trimix cert, assuming you're diving GUE style (no deep air).

Lesley IS the instructor i was going to do the class with :( Apart from the intro to tech and cavern class we did with her earlier in the year she has not tought a class in some time. Which is why she doesn't feel ok doing the Deco class, which see said was her most intense class. see said see was actually thinking about selling her rebreather :/ she hadent used it in some time.......sucks. Shes a great instructor.

We dont really want to do the that heliotrox class, at least not for the price i keep seeing in some places ~ $300-350 for 20 more feet is not worth it to us. its seems more reasonable to dive to 130' and do decompression at that level for the experience save the $$, and then just jump to normoxic trimix to 200' at some later time.

Any one have any opinions on Daniel Dawson from New Horizons divers in the keys? They seem to do a lot of technical dives out of that operation

Hi!
We are a diving company that specializes in cave and technical diving and training. We are based in the Riviera Maya, MX but do technical courses in South Florida all the time. Frank, our technical instructor, just got an OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR award from TDI. He travels all the time back and forth from Miami to Tulum, teaching what he likes the most.

At Blue Life, we have an impeccable safety and customer service record.
If you want to see what our other customers have to say about us, please read their reviews on Tripadvisor –Blue Life - Playa del Carmen - Reviews of Blue Life - TripAdvisor. You can also check our website, and find more information on the Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedure Courses.

From personal experience let me recommend Phillipe Yersin from EASE dive academy. He taught me Advanced Nitrox\Decompression Procedures through to Full Trimix Diver in September. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of instruction and flexibility. He will take you on some of Florida's best wrecks. Please take a look at EASE Dive Academy and feel free to message me with any questions. Some of the best classes I have ever taken!

Cheers! The school web site is at easedivepro.com

Heather Armstrong fits that description, but isn't in South Florida so you would have to travel or pay her travel expenses to you.

Dan Patterson is another one, in Central Florida.

I PMed the OP with Heather's name and contact details already... was looking also for Dan's website and did not find it... but I second the recommendation. Good guy: great instructor.

Hit up John Chatterton. I did this class with him back in June and learned a lot. B.
