A secret? ...buddy, you just posted it on ScubaBoard. Now everyone and there dog fish will be there ;) ok, more so if you'd seen a six gill. Haven't done the dive myself, but sounds like it might be a good change of scenery.

ok i lied it was a horrible dive dont anyone go there :D

but if you do go dont scare the octopus away i have to go back and take pictures when my camera gets here next week

I've been pretty lucky lately finding the wolf eel in his den at Ansell Point, but this dive at Porteau Wall sounds good. A change of scenery might be in order.

Thanks for the idea. ;)

Really? ..."the" wolf eel? (aka Patches? ... and no, I did not name him that) I'd heard he was gone (was old), so perhaps this is a new one? Is he in the same old den? That will absolutely make the hike up and down "that" hill worth it again! Last time I went we forgot to check the tides and it was sooo low the entry was too treacherous.
oh, an how's the viz. been at Ansel lately?

Sounds like a good site.

I wouldnt mind going this weekend. I'll even let someone borrow one of my cameras for the dive if they pick me up in North Delta. I have a 35mm or APS I can loan out for some pics. You just have to remember to bring film.

I'd usually just go, but the wife has the car this weekend.

As for Patches, heh never knew he had a name, yeah hes been back since at least last October, thats when I started seeing him again. Same old den at 80ft big rock out in the sand, bring down some raw salmon and he'll come out and nip your fingers and swim all about. Just make sure to guide him back to the den. He seems to get confused easy after you romp for a bit.

aww.. I think the poor old guy is getting a bit senile! lol Glad to hear he's still around though. He's so friendly... and not stupid... he knows he gets free handouts. Think I need to pay him a visit soon.

Anyway, hope you can find a dive buddy for this weekend. I guess you can't make it to Ogden?
