Hi Sean,
I went to Christmas Island in January 2004 with a group of friends. It was the best diving I've done in a long long time. I have some pictures here that you might find of interest, http://gallery.damonik.com/ - some of them are not the greatest, but they should give you a fair indication of the quality of diving you'll find on CI.

Just to clear something up, could you tell us which Christmas Island you are going to? There is one in the Kiribati's between Hawaii and Tahiti and also one to the SW of Java which is an Autralian territory.
Haven't been to either myself but being specific may help others who have

I am talking about the Christmas Island that is 2300km's northwest of Perth, Western Australia.

No idea if the original poster is talking about that particularl Christmas Island
