Yeah those are info helper functions, same thing on the E330. Toggling thru the INFO button in replay mode (green triangle) lets you set whether shots are shown along with minimal info (shot #), more info (exposure, Fstop, etc.), color histogram with the shot reduced beside them, light-dark range histogram superposed over the shot, highlights flashing (lets you see how much the shot might be 'blown' or overexposed in places), or shadows flashing (lets you see if it's too underexposed in too much of the frame).
Whatever replay mode you're set on also works right after a shot is taken when it gives you the couple of second shot review.
