I am gald everyone likes their Titan LX, since I just bought one last night from LeisurePro.

Add me to the list that loves their Titan LX

I purchased my 1st reg, the Titan LX, yesterday.

I dove the Tusa RS-230 during OW training and found it to be very dry.
2 dives with the Titan LX, and I find it to be, comparatively, VERY wet.
Is it a design characteristic of the internal workings of the LX or perhaps because the Comfo-Bite is stimulating more saliva production?

Also, is it normal for inhalation effort to dramatically increase in an on-your-back-looking-up position? I found that to be the case with both regs.

Well, I'll vote against the Titan. Working on a boat, the reg I saw fail most often was a Titan LX. It has a known flaw that allows the nut that holds the yoke on to loosen up and cause an air leak. It sounds like an o-ring failure but it's not.

I have a MK16/S550 and it's a great reg but not easy to service.

Many regs have increased resistance when you're on your back, but it should still be breathable. You may need to have someone tune it if it's hard to breathe.

Thanks for all the great input, guys. Decided to go with the Titan LX after testing it on a spare cylinder.

Thanks again everyone!!
