Welcome to ScubaBoard. Good to have you here with us. You can get most questions answered here by other divers. They have good input.

Hi mate. The scuba pro nighthawk is an excellent bc with great features, lift and is extremely well streamlined. There is, however, one problem. If you tend to throw your kit on like I do, there is a risk that the shoulder strap clips can snap. Check it with your LDS and make sure the one you have has the new improved, stronger clips.

As far as BCD's go, the Nighthawk is an excellent choice.

An excellent design from an excellent company that keeps repair parts years longer than some other companies. . . But the best designed BC that doesn't fit is a bad choice. ScubaPro offers more sizes than almost any other company. . . If you get the right size, they are among the most comfortable. The wrong size will be very uncomfortable. You can only tell the fit, underwater on a dive. Will the tank be held securely or will it flop around when you turn? When inflated. . . will it squeeze your chest and make it hard to breathe, or will it push you face down when filled? These are questions of fit and will spoil a fun dive, and contribute to stress on a problem dive.

Rent several different BC's till you find the fit and design that is comfortable to YOU!
