I just don't log dives
I'm taking my first trip to Fiji in March and I'm very excited. One problem is I'm arriving 3 days ahead of my group. ya big problem right...lol I contacted the place where I'm staying and for 3 days is almost the same as what I'm paying for the whole trip. So is there cheap places to stay in around nadi where I can do a day or two of diving or maybe checking out the sites. I'm not picky and not looking for a 5 star, just a safe place to rest my head at night. Any and all help will be appreciated.
Thank you

all 5 times i went to nadi i stayed in a place called Aquarius, granted i am a college student and was doing some serious traveling so the dorms were only like 14 dollars US but when i staying in the actual rooms with my girlfriend, they were nice, its about a stones throw from the airport and located on a beach next to a few other budget places like smugglers cove and some others. Super friendly staff and decent breakfast. stay away from Port denarau or however you spell it. if you only stay there you may as well have never left the United states. its nothing like the rest of Fiji.

We are spending one night at Raffles---it's a stone throw away from the airport and reasonably priced.....don't know about diving however, because we are just using it as a layover coming in from Houston....we fly out next day to Garden Island ....but you could check it out.

Need more info! Where is your group going? Which way? The Tonoa in Nadi is very good and not too expensive! But if your going south There are other choices!

My group is staying at the Beqa Lagoon.

Then if you want to meet the group and ride the bus to Pacific Harbor stay in Nadi at the Tonoa! If not go to Sigatoka and stay at the New Crows Nest! You can dive from the big hotel down the road and the rates are great! You can also do some touring from there! Or go to Pacific Harbor and do the River Tour and hang out doing the tourist thing there! It will cost a little more? Another option is to ask Beqa Lagoon resort if they have any openings and go early and get settled in? Make sure you tell them your extending the stay and not just off the road! ;) Call the Vegas office!

We will be at the Raffles Gateway on April 12. When will you be there? We will have just finished a week diving on Taveuni and staying at Nakia Resort. From there we are on to Sydney, Cairns and the Mike Ball liveaboard to dive the GBR and Coral Sea for a week!

wow that should be some great diving. As of right now, I should be in fiji from March 24 to April 3

We will be af Raffles the 20th of March...then we go over to Garden Island on Taveuni until the 28th after that we are going over to Wananavu for another week...haven't done the Mike Ball, but we did the Spirit of Freedom out of Cairns..was too rough to go out to Osprey Reef so we got off on Lizard Island and flew back...went from there to Port Douglas and dove off the Calypso....good diving we loved the Cod Hole and Ribbon Reef 9 and 10 and the bommies....sorry we won't meet up but we fly back to the states on April 3rd
