Hey RTW,

Check out Youngs memorial in LA, it is a state funded school, good training and one of the best prices around.

Look for a recent post by Bob3, they are taking applications for "free" grant funded tuition right now...

There are two schools in Jacksonville, I think only one is currently running students.

Look for the best price but as far as training, it is just getting your foot in the door having the diploma, your going to learn diving on the job.

I have worked with some good hands that went to the school in Jacksonville.

Good luck with you choices, let me know what you decide.

Great info the prices are the cheaps I seen and the diver at the local dive said it was a good school thank you for your help.

I think one in LA is the school my brother went to about 14 or so years ago. My mom is a school administrator so she was very particular about where he went being legitimate and not a fly by night school.

He was toward the end of the program when Hurricane Andrew hit Morgan City so they did rush to get his class through because of the need.

Other than that I know nothing.
