Ningaloo whale shark season will be well and truly over by October. August is pretty much the end of it, and even that's pushing it. Best time for Ningaloo is April/May.

I'm out on the Kalinda shortly. Will see how the reef looks, but just remember that we're heading into winter, water is cooling, and a lot of reefs will recover somewhat by Oct/Nov. Not to say that some coral isn't permanently gone, some has truly died...But not all that is damaged will be lost.

Mike Ball or Spirit of Freedom are the only 2 that will go to the Far North at that time of the year. There are other trips during the Minke Whale season, but by November its only these 2.

November is not generally considered rainy season, the start of December is and its extremely rare for a trip to be cancelled due to cyclones or rough weather. Osprey is more difficult to get to when there is bad weather so check the weather conditions at the time and discuss the options with the operator. However having said that these boats do book up months in advance so think about it way before and at least reserve place.

Plenty of good live aboard options if you are considering the Outer reef and these run daily.
