I'm in Curacao right now and I am looking for a dive buddy to go on some of the more (dangerous?) dives. So I would prefer to go with someone who as done them before. I can drive us. Here are some of the ones that I would like to do in order over the next week.

Tunnel of Doom
Watamula
Boca Patrick
Playa Canoa - don't actually know where this one is.
Vrijgezellen baai
Playa Kalki
Santa Cruz
Blauwbaai
Jan Thiel Lighthouse drift if there is a second car.

Anyways, a little about me. I'm 23 and have my PADI Advanced. I've been diving around Willemstad the last two days.
Tomorrow, I will be doing the car wreck in front of the dive bus at 9:00. Assuming that they are open so I can get tanks rentals. Otherwise I will be reading in the parking lot. Then I'm off to Caracas Baai for a shallow dive to the tug boat to dry up the tank. Then later in the day I might do a second tank at Caracas to the anchor and/or wreck at Jan Thiel.
I've already done Directors bay, Marie Pampun, and the Habitat house reef. Was going to do Porto Mari and Daaibooi bay today but dive buddy was only up for one dive.
I usually hit nitrogen loading turn back times long before I run low on air. I'm not nitrox certified so I'm air only. I'm very easy going so it doesn't bother me if you only want to do a short dive I'm just glad for the company.

I'm signed up for a guided dive of Superior producer for Tuesday. I'm trying get a guided dive of the Mediator set up for Sat or Sun. Wednesday I don't know if I will be able to dive as I have some other commitments.
Eric

P.S. I will check as regularly as I can for replies / messages

Hi

The first four dives are only possible if the condition on that side of the island are favorable, which is normally not the case this time of year. Vrijgezellenbaai is not dangerous, just difficult to get to the water (you have to climb down). Playa Kalki is an easy dive. Santa Cruz is an easy dive but requires a long swim out to the drop-off. Blauwbaai is very easy. The drop-off is close to the shore. You have to pay to get entrance to the beach. Jan Thiel Lighthouse, the entrance can be a bit difficult, but is doable. Drifting to Jan Thiel bay is possible is the current is in the right direction, so you should check first at Jan Thiel.
Mediator depends is normally Saturday or Sunday dependent on permission from the harbor authorities. If there is a cruise ship in the harbor then we are not allowed to dive.

Unfortunately I have to work this week, otherwise I could have done some of the dives with you.

Thanks for the info!
Looks like I will try for Kalki and Santa Cruz on Friday.
One more question:
Any thoughts on Vaersenbaai?

I got lucky with the wildlife at tugboat saw:
1 octopus
1 squid
2 lobster
1 fish I haven't seen before
1 giant rock fish

Vaersenbaai is a nice dive. You have two choices here. You can go deep, there is a car pile here, or you can stay shallower. To go to the car pile you should swim at the surface parallel to the coast till the yellow buoy; there you should descend; wrecks are from about 20 meters till deeper. Be careful and watch your depth and bottom time. From there you go along the reef back to the shore. Don't go to the pontoon if you have been at the car wrecks; it is just too deep after the deep dive at the wrecks; better save that for a separate dive.
The alternative is a normal dive along the drop-off at the depth of your choice. In this case you can visit the pontoon. In the shallow area over the sand turtles are often seen.

If I could suggest one boat dive, I'd recommend Watamula. If you come to Westpunt Ocean Encounters WEST goes there on Sunday and Tuesday on 2 tank dives and Thursday afternoons. You could go to Watamula and then before or after dive Alice In Wonderland the site at Playa Kalki; right in front of the OEW dive shop. Santa Cruz is a loooong surface swim out. OEW goes there on Thursday morning as well as Mushroom Forest, if you are interested in going on 3 tank boat dives on one day.
