I will be visiting Charleston from 10 - 19 May. Will have dive gear. Anyone want to show me some local dive sites?

as in Charleston WV?

I'm supposed to be off work May 12th and could pretty easily be talked into some diving. Nothing very "exotic" in our neck of the woods, but its time underwater... :-)

Probably can't do Saturday and Sunday is out (mothers day and my wife probably wouldn't be that happy with me running off...) - - maybe some others can pick up the slack...

OOOPs that was Charleston SC. Sorry, I'm from Canada eh?

no problem...

Just wanted to make sure, glad I did... would have been fun discussing why we couldn't see each other at the walmart parking lot when trying to meet up... :-)

Did you try a quick post on the "deep dixie" group as well?

Good Luck !

hey if anyone is interested in a quick trip to Storm, Sutton or summersville on Friday May 12th lets talk!

Glad to hear you will be in town. Sorry that I won't be able to do any diving during the time your here, but check out our local web page www.charlestondiving.com There is a forum section and the guys are great on there. Here in Charleston there are two main types of diving. 1. Black water river diving where they look for big, (and I mean big) sharks teeth. Just watch out for the gators. 2. Offshore diving. It's not the tropics but the offshore diving here can be really good. It is just a ride. 100 ft of water can be about 20+ mile boat ride. Check with ACDC (Atlantic Coast Dive Center) here in Mt.Pleasant. They are a fine bunch and I got word they were organizing some trips.
