We've been on multiple cruises stopping in St. Maarten and have used Dive Safari twice. They were a good Op, dive sites ok, but not spectacular. Last time there we dove near their shark dive site and had a few 6ft black tips cruise by.

Have also used Fair Helen on St. Lucia. Very pleased with the Op and the diving at the base of the Pitons. One of the more colorful places we've been.

We've only had one close call getting back to the ship when booking independently. That was on Coz many years ago.

Hello, we are going for a cruise in March.

We will go at: St-Thomas (we already went diving there), St-Maarten, Antigua, St-Lucie, and Barbados.

What are the two best sites to go diving?

Is-it better to go with the cruise diving center selections or going with the local diving center?

Thank's for the advice.

What cruise are you on? I just booked basically that same itinerary for 3/22 on Carnival Victory.

Have dived all these localities. My vote goes to St. Lucia and Barbados. Hit the wrecks in Barbados. Check out The Dive Shop Ltd. Its a good outfit.

You are better off making your own diving arrangements when it comes to cruises. If you let them know your itinerary they will get you where you need to be at the right time. I have done it dozens of times and have never had a problem.
