Shore dive, anywhere on or near Cape Ann.

I ended up partnering with Chebby (who had not posted here in ages). I have a quesiton though:

One of the lobsters I picked up had eggs, but instead of usual dark grey they were bright pink. Also, the lobster had relatively few of them.

Is that what lobster eggs look like after they hatch?

Newly certified here and yet to try my hand at lobstering so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe the abstracts say the eggs turn reddish (pink?) when getting close to hatching:
www . mass. gov / dfwele / dmf / publications/dmf_recreational_lobster_crab_guide.pdf

(remove spaces to follow link...i can't post urls yet)

"As eggs develop and approach
hatching time they turn brown to
reddish brown and the female is
called a “brown egger”.
