Does anyone know if there are any downloadable non-dompression tables for a Palm? I know about the various deco software that is out there but I'd like to be able to look up the max time I have within no decompression limits after a dive or couple of dives.

thanks,

You can find palm software on handango.com and palmgear.com. I'm sure that I've found no deco software at one of those places.

You might find this site helpful http://www.ruizlog.com/index1.html I have not used this software but in reading the descriptions it might have what you're looking for.

yeah, sort of. i use the following programs (they're freeware) to figure
out max no-deco times at depth. these are the ones i use; they are simple,
and they work:

Nitrox Calc. v. 04 : this one is nice because you can calculate max depth and time for any nitrox mixture (including 21% plain vanilla air).

http://www.freewarepalm.com/hobbies/scubatoolsdivecalc&divelogger.shtmlScuba Tools DiveCalc & DiveLoger v.1.5: this one is REALLY nice because you can calculate up to four dives in a row, and it will show you all the nifty info
(such as minimum surface interval, residual nitrogen, etc.) Not as easy
to use, but even I figured it out in about a minute.

and did i mention they are free? =)

That Dive Calc is just what I was looking for. I'll run it a few times to make sure it jives with the tables, but it's just the trick.

excellent! i love that one as well

That nitrox program is great as well. I like that fact that it will easily give me the EAD for a mix and then I can just jump to the divecalc program to get the max bottom time.

Have you run any comparisons to make sure the tables in dive calc are correct? I'm flying up to British Columbia tomorrow for a long weekend diving so I may do some tests on the plane and compare them to the tables.

yes, but only for the PADI tables. You can use the calculator with the NAUI
and Navy tables selected as well, and I have not checked those. i do have
the Navy tables but... er... hmmm.... i guess i'm just too lazy =P
