Oh, and Tim, don't feel bad -- I've seen somebody else catch a light cord and ruin a light on entry, on a charter here in the San Juans.

I'm compulsive about tucking my light cord before jumping off a boat, for that reason (and the fact that Danny Riordan would have my gizzard if he caught me not doing it).

You're gonna love NC wrecks. Which op are you diving with in a week and a half?

The sad part was that it was tucked in. The loop below my waist-belt was just long enough to snag the h-valve on the tank next to me. Oh well. Live an learn (from now on i will be damn sure to check every piece of cord coming off my body before any entry). Thanks for the encouraging words, though. Hopefully, the estimate for repairs from light monkey will be equally encouraging :)
