Hey there
Anyone have any comments concerning how usful/ good/ convenient/ must have/ not worth it/ durable/ etc etc the Nauticam LCD Magnifier is for compact cameras. I have the Sony RX100.
I saw it advertised on one of the underwater photography sites and thought that it looked really interesting.

It's fantastic. I had one with my Sony Rx100 & Nauticam housing. If I buy another compact camera down the line, compatibility with the LCD Magnifier will be a requirement.

It can be removed during the dive, but stays on very well.

Shameless plug, I have one for sale with RX100 mount kit :D

So do you ship to Singapore??
I went to look at one yesterday and it certainly seems to be a "nice to have" but definitely not a neccesity. Should rather save the cash towards a second strobe.

I'm glad to hear it stays on well because that was my one concern with it.

So what makes it so fantastic?

And on a side not what system have you changed to from the RX100?

I probably could ship there, but not sure it'd be economical for the price of the kit.

Benefits were pretty easy to notice.
-You can see the LCD screen much more easily because it's magnified and angled slightly up. Also it blocks glare from the sun.
-Get accurate focus and easier composition. This is especially helpful for macro photography and manual focusing.

Bought a housing and such for my Nikon DSLR.

They sell for 170 + 25 for the mount kit.

I sold mine yesterday, but I still stand by what I said. If I get another compact or 4/3 camera in the future, I will absolutely buy another one.
