Swim easy...LOL :)

Welcome,

I'm just finishing my cert. (PDIC), 200 yards, no time limit, followed by 4 minutes of treading water, last minute with both arms above the water, then 2 - 25' underwater without any gear. I also was last on the swimming and had to start the treading water right away. No biggie.

i couldnt do the required laps at the beginning of the course either - part of why i wanted to take scuba was to get off my lazy ass.

I joined the Y and went swimming 3 times a week during the 8 week scuba course and at the end could have done twice the required laps. Really just took practice - and i felt great at the end of the class compared to when it started.

Ask if you are able to use any stroke. If so, flip on your back and swim on. I can swim forever like this without getting tired.
