Just out of curiosity anyone know what the fee was to become a divemaster back in the late 90's? And when and how much the increases have been over the years? Seems like I paid like $75 in membership dues and fees to NAUI in 1998 and I know the fee now is $90. Is that right? Insurance seems like it was like $175 at the time and $315 now. Ten years and alomost 100% increase in the insurance?

The membership dues is about on target with inflation. Out of curiosity I took a look and used Tom's Inflation Calculator which takes the yearly average inflation rates to convert money, $75 becomes $96.92 today.

The insurance is a bit lower but that I would imagine is related to the rising healthcare costs on top of inflation.
