I went to Point Judith Saturday spear fishing. What a mistake that was. There was about 5' at best vis. I was there at the correct incoming tide and it was still crappy, not to mention rough water. What can I look for next time to plan my trip better as far as winds and sea conditions? Is there a good reliable sight to check out? I used www.wunderground.com and it didnt prove accurate.

I thought that the incoming tide brought more crap in with it. I was under the assumption the best time to go is when the tide starts to go out. With limited dive experience, I've only had 1 good vis day in RI - The wind was blowing from the north and I was at a south facing site (wetherill). Usually the wind is from the south and the vis is crappy (as it was this w/end)
