NARCOSIS

I know what's above me, but not what's below.

Above me has been trouble, so down further I'll go.

It's seems so silent, but not quiet at all.

Darkness surrounds me the further I fall.

No one has seen this, no one but me.

But I must be careful in this foreboding sea.

It's easy to forget things in its black, cold embrace.

Maybe I'll stay here, and find me in this place.

Problems are subtle, almost an unnoticeable change.

They creep up on you, and nothing even seems strange.

I feel quite euphoric, almost happy again.

I'll even take a dance with my new cold, dark friend.

We dance down deeper, and deeper I'll go.

Troubles are forgotten in this beautiful show.

I know what's below me, but not what's above.

It squeezes tighter and tighter but I know it's with love.

Now there's nothing but darkness, not even light overhead.

I spit out my life, and lay down my head.

Maybe they'll find me, but who really cares.

I'll be in their hearts, maybe even in their prayers.

Still semi-conscious, but I know it's the end.

So I say goodnight to my cold, cold, dark friend.

I miss you Bill...
