Hey everyone. I'll cut right to the chase. My dad lost most of his vision in his right eye about 4 years ago. Diagnosed with having a minor stroke in his right eye. And now recently, his lower half of the left eye has gone dark. He has been to some specialist including flying to Atlanta from NY to see one. They have come up with "NAION" Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy but do not know the cause of this as of yet. MRI will be done soon and will hopefully explain some more. My question is regarding diving. Is he safe to dive? Will the pressure changes effect him? Make it worse? He's going to ask this question during his next doctors appt. but I wanted to get a jump start on it. Any help on this very unknown to me and my family will be greatly appreciated!
