I have two backplates, one aluminum and one SS zeagle, the stainless plate has NEVER been wet, I've been diving the aluminum.

One day I decided to break out and switch to the steel for weight purposes and its got rust spots all over it, again never been wet sitting in a dry heated closet, compared to a dive rite its VERY dull and thicker, but has the proper weight, I've never seen any other steel zeagle plates, is this normal for a zeagle SS plate?

No, it is not normal. I believe the very first shipment of SS plates we got were not passivated, so you probably got one of those. Take it back to the place you purchased it and have them contact us for a return authorization number.

Scott, I may have to change my signature to "Buy Zeagle from Scubatoys". In this day and age and you still offer service like that. No wonder you guys are still around.
