Mystery text box

For the past two days I have had a drop down menu box appear on all screens on this forum. It will not disappear and covers things up.

It also appears when I write a reply and the text disappears. I can move my cursor and highlight where I think I have written and viola! the text reappears. More annoying than anything, is there a fix?

Where does this menu start? What does it say?

It is on the left hand side of my screen - just floating there. It is blank and has one of those little drop down arrows on the right-hand side. Still there now.

Does it have a title or any content?

Nope nothing - just the blank white box with the little arrow thingy. And now it's gone. Go figure.
