I was thinking about diving during a trip to Myrtle Beach the week of May 7th, and wondered what to expect for conditions?

I was there the past two Julys and had viz ranging from 5' to 5" on the bottom. Wondered if earlier in the year, it runs better?

Thoughts?
TIA,
Jerry

One of the fellas I work with was in Myrtle Beach 2 weeks ago and was going to do a dive or two while down there, but said the viz was just awful, so he just played in the sand with his kids instead.

Hopefully it will clear up soon, as I'm headed there for Bike Week May 16-20. :D

May is a really good month for diving! The water is not to hot and the vis is usally good. We did have a huge blow here the last 2 weeks with wind up to 50 mph and and offshore seas at 24 ft. It takes some time when we have those kids of conditions.
Check out www.expresswatersports.com and check the dive calender.
See ya out there!!!
