Myrtle Beach Diving

The weather has cleared up, seas have been nice and the viz is getting better by the day. water temp is also climbing. East winds and currents are bringing some blue water in.

Anchor wreck Sat. Huge shipwreck off the coast. Found some pottery with Norwegian writing. Good dive! Yes Anchors are still off the bow and the capstan. Huge wreck

St Cathan Sun. part of the Twin Cities wreck Hebe. The boat just called in and reported 70 ft vis. Water temp climbing to the high 68. Fish!!!

Locals are reporting all sites are now showing good signs of fish and vis. Grouper, flounder, Red snapper, trigger fish are showing up.

Lion fish have recently found a home on the Hebe. They were everywhere. Also lionfish were heavy on the USS Vermilion.
Some Sand tigers are still on the Hebe and the USS Vermilion.

Dive season is upon us! Weather you have your own boat or go out with a charter its time to dust off that gear and lets go Diving in Myrtle beach!!

Yep, nice trip.....I was along for the ride on both days. Scuba Express runs a hell of an operation, very nice, very friendly, very nice boat. We had one hell of a fun trip! Just got in, and am very tired. Gotta work tomorrow. Vis was Fantastic on the St. Cathan.

I do have some reccomendations, which we made the mates aware of that I'd prefer to send off board.

Thanks Tom sounds like a good time, how much further south from Wilmington to their boat? Just in case Trina & I are looking for another dive opportunity.

No video this time...I left it topside...forsaking it for the scooter. Man those things were a hoot offshore!
