Great shots!!! Couple of things, as I can relate to the exact learning pains that you are going thru although your first set of pics with the strobe are a lot better than my first try...

Be careful when you're shooting against light sand. It will blow up the exposure... Try to dial down the strobe to compensate... On shots where the subject might be too far out, don't use the strobe as it will only light up the backscatter.

But overall, I'm impressed. How is the focusing with the macro lens with your camera? On my S70 and one of those Inon 165 macro lens, the sweet spot focus distance is REALLY narrow. I have to spend a lot of time moving my camera back n forth until I can get a good focus lock... Now image that with some good current... :D

Thanks Mike. Sweets pot focus distance? man, it can be very frustrating at times, mostly try and try until the focus locks. And yes, the current and focus problem seem to happen at the same time! really sucks.

I've been thinking of stacking one more 165 lens for greater magnification, what do you think?:wink:
