Jam: My current rig is a Canon 20D in an Ikelite housing with twin 125ds strobes. The WA is shot with the 10-22mm efs and the close up stuff with the 60mm efs macro. Several of the shots are scanned negatives or slides shot with my old Nikonos III and 15mm Nikkor or 35mm with close up kit. The shark/boat shot was taken in Walkers Cay several years ago with the Nikonos rig, and the spotted drum, pencil urchin, nurse shark and divemaster, and the BW shots on the Eagle were all Nikonos shots.

Steve: I use Photoshop CS2 and all of the shots have had some Photoshop work. There are a number of ways to remove excess noise or unwelcome backscatter. CS2 came out with a neat noise reduction filter but I do not use it on UW stuff much (the Eagle shots being an exception).

Thanks for the comments, all. I continue to enjoy your work.

I thought so, some of your pics definitely had the look and feel of film (Velvia?)....
Love them all, was nice seeing the guy with retro super high volume mask too :).

Sorry to hijack the thread...

(Hey Chris! long time no see :D how are ya??)

Hi Leesa

doing fine, still shooting,

hopefully the gallery will be back on line soon.

Bob once again very nice work. That 20D produces some very nice colors. If I did not have a bazillion $$ invested in Nikon glass I would be using Canon myself. I got spoiled using Wyland's 1D MK II.

Thanks Chris!!:)

Jam: It dawned on me that the diver you mentioned is the guy on the surface (Lee not Sam). Lee has some antique equipment and defines the term "retro diver." He also has the most unique weightbelt I have ever seen.
