I'm looking to purchase my first BC! I've always used jacket style BC's in the past and that's what I'm going to buy. My Budget is around $300. I definitely want weight integrated! I've been looking at the Cressi-Sub Aqualight R BC. I'm a travel diver living in Philadelphia and need something lightweight. Anyone hear anything good or bad about this BC?

Here's a link to the BC

GREAT BC... Have been using it for quite a while now... couple hundred dives on it no problems... As simple and light a BC as you will ever find.... nice big zippered pockets... well placed D rings.. Extremely light can fit in a small duffel bag with the rest of my dive equipment.. double tank straps.. Recommend 100% some people may disagree simply because it doesn't cost as much as many other BC's but that is a load of BS... In case people are wondering I dove this BC almost daily 2 -3 times a day for the past 6 months and plenty before that.. No problems with it yet. Cressi is also a very reliable brand

Talk to KBW Scuba in Avondale. He's a Zeagle, Cressi, and Tusa vendor. Excellent customer service and will be able to let you try different brands in the price range.

I just got it from leisure pro yesterday. I'm so excited to try it out! I was going to go to the bahamas on the 18th but the boat was booked. Now I'm trying to plan something else. I'm going crazy with this new BC. I'm almost ready to go down to the local stream and give it a try. JK

I've got my aqualight for a couple of years now. I really like them and had almost no problem with it.

The only thing you gotta pay some attention to is the integrated weight pockets.

I happened to watch half of my weights slip from the pockets during a dive - and the buckles were all closed... Fortunately I've managed to put them back before I started ascending). After that, I always double-check the buckles and never had problems again.

Great BCD...I've been using Cressi for about a year now with great results. Very reliable, comfortable and takes a lot of wear and tear.
