On the not-so-funny side of things, the guy I’m currently working with is up in his house in Cascade, emptying it out because it looks like it’s in the path of the fire :-(
Since this note has come alive again I suppose I should give an update. He didn't lose his house. Unfortunately there were many that weren't as lucky.

I drove through the Hayman fire area a couple weekends ago and saw probably about a dozen houses that were burned to the ground. They are so unrecognizable that it took me a few seconds to recognize the first one I saw as a house.
