I just finished a bunch of diving in Mexico and definitely found the cave parts much more interesting than the cavern sections (though they were still awesome looking! Mostly. Jailhouse and Chan Hol were not so great at the start :p) Sunlight makes the cavern sections look a heap better too. My two non diving friends I went to Gran Cenote with to snorkel were blown away with that site (though out of the ones I saw I'd recommend Pet Cementary or Dos Ojos for someone wanting to do a cavern dive or snorkel).
