I use Imovie and some Final Cut Pro. I shoot with a Sony HD XR200. I am wanting to know the setting I need to export to Quicktime for HD quality product. Recently I try some new settings(that were recommended) with an existing Imovie project. The result in Quicktime was a mutant video. It was harsh and contrasts were really exaggerated. What settings will lead to the best result, even for burning to standard DVD?

Thx
