OK.
Who plays what.
I have been playing Didgeridoo since I was 8 years old [62+ years], teaching a student today.
Trumpet, bugle, drums and percussion also.
Keeps me sane [big job].

Do we need to be able to play the instrument under water? Above water I play harmonica and air guitar.

Sadly, nothing lately. Orchestral percussion, mostly unpitched. Love the cymbals. The didgeridoo must be one of the few medically relevant instruments!

Clarinet and sax - clarinet as an orchestral player, sax in a couple of big bands. Sometimes I get paid but mostly as an amateur. I do own a didgeridoo but can’t play it very well. I try to pick up instruments whenever I visit a country. For example a Balinese gong and three flutes. Both the didge and gong were “interesting” to get on a plane.

Some of my earliest memories are of my dad and relatives (all Kentucky hillbillies :)) jamming with their guitars when we visited. I had a mouth harp and sometimes there was a jug that I "played" and thought I fit right in - I didn't. I took guitar lessons around 5th grade and by 6th grade some friends and I started a garage band - 2 guitars, a drummer, and a trombone player (who does plays in local band today.) It lasted a couple of practices - our drummer played the "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" beat in everything we tried to play. I'm sure my mom was glad we stopped as we only practiced at my house. In junior high, I started playing the violin which I played through high school in the orchestra and concert orchestra. Still have it and get it out occasionally, mainly for my granddaughter to "fiddle" around with!!

:) Started with a cow horn carved out by my grandfather. Moved to bugle-->then trumpet (instrument I played most) B flat Baritone, a little french horn (Overture from Tommy in a band), Jew's Harp in a garage band, single valve bugle in the service (Drum and Bugle Corps aka "The Beat and Blow") while attending training. Then, sadly dropped it altogether at the ripe old age of 18. A few years ago I started learning the harmonica (trying to play along with Neil Young when no one is around.)

BTW you can get some pretty decent sounds out of an inverted snorkel :-D
