Good day to you all.
I was wondering if anyone has been into the water in Hog Bay at Murphy's Point? We were at Murphy's last year and saw divers (a fraternity to which we didn't belong at the time) in the water of Big Rideau Lake.

We are going back this coming weekend and thought that we'd like to dive in Hog Bay as it is a relatively small lake and has no boats/ water skiers etc for us newbies to concern ourselves with.
One of the park wardens said there was a mill in the bay at one time so there may be things to see, but ultimately it is an opportunity for my daughter and I to get under and practice our skills.
I know that Padi recommends/suggests diving with someone who knows the area but this doesn't seem do-able as the diveshops are all about 1 hr away from the park and the eastern Ontario seems saturated with "really interesting/challenging dives" around Kingston, Prescott ,Brockville etc. that seem to be the choice dive areas.

So the question; anyone out ther dived Hog Bay or Murphy's Point beach into the Big Rideau?

Thanks- and Ontario Fresh Water Freaks rock! Neil

I have dove in Big Rideau Lake a couple of times. More in around Col. By Island area. I have a few friends that live on Big Rideau Lake North shore that might want to do some dives. PM me for details.

Or if you are coming back the weekend of the 14 & 15th. I would consider join in also, I am tied up this coming weekend.

Cheers, Taz!
