Heading down tomorrow for the day. So far it's just me. Anyone else going? Would not mind company if you want to do some deep stuff. I'm taking two sets of doubles and my 40 bottle. Planning on going down past the 90 platform. Deco IS an option if you're up for it. I'll most likely try to get 3 dives in. Leaving home around 7-7:30. Should be there around 10. Pm or post if you're up for it. Jim

Hi Jim,

What were the temps for ya?

I'm thinking of spending some time out at Mount Storm this week -- Monday, Tue, Wed.

Anyone interested?

Harry, Last week temps were 68-70 in the water. Shop took some students down yesterday and it had dropped to 65-66. With rain and some snow starting, lots of wind. Another shop went down as well and they had people all over the area floundering around, some were crying even. You know what you're doing so it should be ok if you can get the van in and out of the lot! Could be a foot down there by monday. You know Storm! It lives up to it's name this time of year. Someone ran new lines between the platforms as well. Left the old ones. Don't know if they realized it by there's some slack in the old ones and could get tangled if you're following them and not paying attention. I had good vis below 70 ft. At 106 or so it really opened up. Dark as hell but good. I tied off on the 90 and used the reel to go out and down to 123 on the first dive. Did a sweep to the right and was down at 117-123 for 18 minutes. Deco'd on the platform lines. Current to stiff to shoot a bag. I'd have ended up way past the boat docs. That dive lasted 1:05. Second dive went out to the dam and headed for the plant. Followed the wall down to 70 feet or so then followed the compass back across the corner till I hit the wall at about 50 feet. Was only about 5 yds shy of the 50 platform! Then followed it up to the main and did a short drift dive past the other one to about even with the boat dock and the vis opened up here again as well! Nearly 15 feet or better once you got near the dock and made my way back from there. Time- 1:10. Two very nice relaxing dives with no one to worry about but me. I'd love to come down but gotta work.
