Yes, I do recall :) I really want to have access to a pool..I know that sounds weird..I'd actually like the reception outside by a pool, thats why I liked playa mia...I may just end up at LaCococay...as long as they have the crusted fish stuff !!! :)

Mr Sancho's has a pool. It's right next to the palapa where the receptions are held.

LaCocay is where I proposed... and it was in the running for the reception dinner too. They do have that really nice back area.

LOL - I should have, jeff, but that's a long story! I don't even get to see my pictures from the guy we used for another two days!! I'm really anxious to see them.

We had amazing light. The day could not have been more perfect (ok, there could have been one of those perfect breezes that lifted my veil at just the right time - but even that was pretty close to perfect most of the time).

Why Cozumel? Well, my family is all in the US but we didn't want to get married in the midwest in winter. Call us crazy. Coz is beautiful and fairly easy to get to for most. We even had 8 Australians there for us :)

We all know about your LaCococay proposal :) I remember the pictures Yes, I love the place, and the back yard as well.

why why why... :)

Well, for starters...look at Kristin's photos :) The wedding garden really is perfect, and there actually is a pool at Mr. Sanchos if you wanted that. Stephanie can really transform Mr Sanchos palpapa into something very elegant if you want, or as rustic and "Mexican Fiesta" as you want it. I've seen some amazing set-ups at Mr Sanchos.

Playa Mia is not near as nice and it's packed all the time with cruise ship tours, activities, etc. It's like the beach version of Disneyland. It's not just a beach club, it's a theme park! Mr. Sanchos is a beach club as well, but Stephanie has created quite a beautiful wedding environment that is secluded from the crowds.

And finally, I think Stephanie is the very best at what she does, she actually lives on the island and has built solid relationships with all of her vendors and "trained" them to meet her standards. If you let her, she will make your day completely stress free!

Full disclosure: I do not work for Stephanie (www.cozumelweddingplanner.com) nor do I receive financial compensation for raving about her :) but she is my dear friend! I have acted as a witness to several weddings for her and have been a guest of many weddings she has put together. When my day comes, I wouldn't consider anyone else :)

Im sure Stephanie and I will touch base soon :) As I said, we'll be down this summer to do, as Kristin said, some recon :)
Thanks for your info

Here's what was happening behind us - those are serious rain clouds...but we had no rain at the site at all. It helped give us the magical lighting. Again compact digital P&S camera

We had our Cozumel wedding at Playa Mia and it worked wonderfully. While it may be Disneyland during the day :D , the wedding was held after hours and the place was closed so we had the entire site just to us.

However, if you are going down this summer then you could see both places and choose for yourself. We really wanted the beach/sand wedding so the garden didn't suit us as well.

I fprgot about your wedding being there! I had it in my head that you did the beach at Mr. SAnchos. Your pics are great!

Yup, beautiful.

For what it's worth, there is a great sand beach right under the garden. We went down there for more photos and to play in the sand after the ceremony ;)

I think Stephanie can arrange the ceremony on the beach itself if that is more to your liking. But there are many beautiful locations on Cozumel - a recon mission to find what suits you the best is definitely the way to go!

I think a 'small' aside trip has thrown a wrench into any recon mission we were planning. Im gonna have to trust Christi & Stephanie and any suggestions I can find :) So instead of doing a reception we're going to do the dinner thing at a restaurant instead..
How did your pictures turn out?
