anyone can give me tips on using the sony mpk-p9 ? jisy got one of these marines packs and i do not know what i should look out for or check before i take it down with me. it is a used one and the parts that come with it originally are missing.

I used one for 2 years, and about 100 dives. Not much to know really. I cleaned the groove for the o-ring, and put a tiny amount of grease on the o-ring at the start of each trip (i.e. not every dive). I either put 2 drops of anti-fog on the lens port and wiped it around with a cloth, or just used silica gel packets.

Best to put the camera in in an aircon room.
Always rinse off with fresh water and press all the buttons if you are going to let it dry.

I guess to be careful you should take it down empty the first time, but to be honest I never did. I know several people with these housings, and never heard of one leaking.
