Hello

I need to move some weight up north, I have no money for special pockets and what not so How can i get about 3 pounds up north? I was thinking I could zap strap 3 pounds near my shoulder on both sides but then I think i would be little to heavy up north any ideas would be great, I do not have any ankle weights for my tank.

* What about moving the tank higher in your tank straps?

* How about using lighter fins (if you're using Jets, move to Mares)

* Carry a camera! That would fix that in a moment.

* Are you diving a BP/W? You could slide your wing south.

Lots of other options.

Hey ken, I am diving a BP/w but I cant move my wing south reason being I only have one hole on the top of the backplate?
Chris

How much weight is in your belt?
Maybe you could remove some of it and zip tie it to you shoulder or tank straps? Zipties would allow easy placement so you can deterime exactly where and how much you need to move.

I'm not sure he meant moving the backplate, but instead moving the wing if you have multiple mounting holes. Example:

Get an old tube sock, insert weight, tie thick knot about 3" up from the weight, slide tube sock with weight up into upper tank strap, then slide tank into tank straps, tighten down strap over sock between weight and knot. Make sure the knot is secure. There you go. Cheap tank/weight pocket. Do place it close to the backplate on either side though.

One question is if you have weight on the one side of the tank, wont you swim little weird? Little to one side?

Not unless you have a lot of weight there. Also if you place it close to the back plate, it doesn't throw it off by much. 3lbs isn't going to flip you over or off center. When diving a single I often throw in 5 lbs top and bottom (10lbs) on the same side with no problems. If you and the rig are neutral, no problems.

Nice, Thanks I will try that the next dive.
Thanks
Chris
