I have just aquired double tanks and am looking for a second reg to complete the setup. I have an AL titan lx supreme for diving cold water up here in Northern Europe (Finland). Now I need to get another reg for the new package. Any comments on diving same regs or different with the twin setup?

Welcome to the Board!

If you are going to double them up, then why not buy another Titan LX Sup. I have one and it's great! While it's not mandatory, it's a good idea to have the same type of reg for primary and secondary. That way there is no guessing, they both breath the same and you don't need to guess about tweaking it.

Thanks. I was just wondering if I should upgrade to legend supreme. But your right if i am happy with th titan lx supreme it keeps life simplier and that is always a good think. Cheaper too.

I am having the same problem as you. I own the titan lx and am very happy with it. I probably go with the legend for my new set. Good luck with your choice.

titan lx is a decent reg. depending what you use as alternate right now (maybe another titan lx second?) just buy another first stage and move one second on it.

My first instinct was just to buy another first stage and that would be the end of it. But as I shopped around for another Titan first stage I found that it is about the same as buying the whole package. I even asked, via email AL, about using another brand sealed and balanced first stage with the titan. (eq. Apek DS4) AL's service response:

"We do not really recommend interchanging brands of regulators. Specific performance testing is done between regulator 1st and 2nd stages to ensure that you are getting the best breathing performance it can provide. When trying to mix regulator 1st and 2nd stages you never know the breathing performance that it will provide."

I am not experienced enough to second guess.
