Thanks for the recommendation sylpha, I'd completely forgotten about them. I did in fact buy the SP350 today but I think they'd be worth talking to about strobes when the time comes.

I threw out ~ 20 shots where backscatter made the pic unintelligable.


Don't give up on them too fast. Go to the Photoshop 7 thread and you'll find out some great ways to get rid of the backscatter if the picture's good. I often crop those shots as well.

i think he does courses too, i'm giving myself this year to play underwater then thinking about a course with a pro.
