I recently switch out the Rec wing I was using with my Transpac with a VDH 35# wing. But the slots in the VDH aren't wide enough for the standard Transpac cam band slots. Is it ok to just run the cam band straps through the wing without running it through the Transpac at all?

I am worried because that looks like it would put all the stress on the two assembly screws holding the wing to the Transpac.

Had to dig out a transpac and the VDH 35, the width is an issue, you cant just thread the wing because you won’t have a connection between the tank and the harness. You can use an STA with book screws and maybe some larger washers to spread the load.

That is disappointing, looks like I will have to go to a back plate.

Or a DR wing I use an XT 35 voyager but do like my VDH 35 too.

The Voyager just isn't as streamlined as I would like.

I'll probably turn the Transpac into a Nomad. It is an old Tech Harness model that I like more than the traditional Transpac.

yeah I would not recommend trying to do that. The Dive Rite wings use a crosshair center section for a reason.... Can use it for doubles no problem, but wouldn't bother even attempting with singles. The sex bolts will not do well holding the whole tank up
